Fitness Friday with Linky

So this past week, on my fitness journey.  I stopped counting the seconds I ran and just went out cleared my mind and focused on the steps. Run and clear my mind.  I also decided this week to take a picture, the before shot. The reason I looked at my friends Stephs post, and I thought how brave she was.  The photo is not edited or taken from an angle that makes me thin, and it is a full length full body and a side view.

What is weird is I have had an easy time posting my weight openly on the internet.   I have also wrote my struggles with not loosing.  I have to say I am more nervous about posting a picture which is unflattering.  Weird right?  I want full body disclosure.. but really I have to do it.

Oh  here a go.. I know people see me all the time so what am I hiding from. I guess myself.I do not look happy ..

My goal this up coming week is to be

  • Honest with myself looks at these pictures and say it is time for a change.
  • Honest with my food and not play games and bargaining with myself
  • Honest with my fitness I am starting work with a running company I am going to commit to a 5k and get off the fence.

My fitness Week:

  • Sunday: walked around a museum for 3 hours
  • Monday : I did not walk – (I feel guilt)
  • Tues: walk run around the block running from one telephone poles
  • Wednesday: Spent 3 hours walking the flower show
  • Thursday: walked ran around the block between the telephone poles

Weight loss:

Starting weight 271

Last week 267  this week 265

  1. You will be thankful that you took those pictures so you can see your progress. Sometimes, you can’t see it day to day. But when you put the pictures side by side you will really see it! You are doing amazing!

  2. You are doing great! I agree with Steph. Had I not taken progress photos, I don’t know that I would have stuck with my plan. Even as I type this comment, today I still feel like I weigh 240lbs even though I am nearly half of that now. (thanks to good ol’ mother nature!) So today as I fought the urge to go to Dunkin Donuts for a full fat, full sugar latte, thinking ‘what the hell, its not like I’ve made any progress’ I pulled up my progress photos on my phone. No lattes for me 🙂
Your brain is going to mess with you. But you can’t fool yourself if you have photo evidence 🙂
Also, I’m proud of you for confronting this fear and being honest about it. Confronting those fears is going to be key in overcoming this challenge. Good for you!

  3. Sherry, first, you are a beautiful person, pictures or not. Second, I have to thank you for hooking me back on coffee since last week’s bean chat. I had cravings, went out and bought some decaf , and have been having two cups a day. Today, I noticed that I’ve lost two pounds, probably because the coffee (with only 35 calories of creamer) replaced many of my afternoon chocolates. Pleaase don’t hold an oreo chat or anything, since it’s clear that I’m highly suggestible, kay? Keep up your good work! Little changes can make a big difference.

    1. Hey I am glad that coffee chat was good for you it was fun having you there, thanks for coming. Thank for the support. Taking a picture is like having a full length mirror that does not go away, I have to say I did not properly tag the picture with my name, so it is not searchable, (what?? I am not stupid they will haunt me later if I did) Best they die with the post in the archives. Thanks for commenting Darla

  4. Someday you’ll be smiling ear-to-ear in those pictures! Good for you for posting everything, hopefully it helps you be even more inspired to change those numbers, the way you look, but most importantly the way you feel!!! xo

    1. Thanks for he support Jennifer B. I have been listen to how I feel. I do have more energy when i run..when I don’t go I feel like I just want to go back to bed,, so I am excited about making commitments and continuing on this journey.

  5. you are off to a GREAT start – AND the best part is you are “ready”. . .you’re in the right frame of mind to achieve your goals and that is AWESOME!!

for those of you making this quest (I REALLY wish I was at a place where I could) a scrapbooker and graphic designer by the name of Cathy Zielske has some amazing posts on her blog related to moving more and eating less, recording your journey and meeting your goals. it might offer some additional inspiration when you need it =)

    keep up the GREAT work!!

    1. Thanks Hillary for the support. I cant do it with out being honest. I am going to check out Cathys site. I been reading every thing that teaches me more about being healthy. I spend an hour tonight in Barnes and Noble reading the healthy living mags.

  6. Hi Sherry~ we met the other night and I remembered you mentioning fitness fridays… so here I am. I’m so inspired by your post. Soon I’ll be starting a program w/ Beachbody but since I’m taking 2 courses, starting my business and have so much going on, I decided to wait until end of April. In the meanwhile, I believe your post will encourage me to do what I can with what time and energy I’ve got left day to day. Thanks for an honest and raw post and the inspiration that results. Barbara
