Review of the Zing Air Storm products

Recently I was asked to review the air storm collection of products. We my son and I review 3 different products.  Air storm Cross Bow z-x, Storm z-curve Bow, and the Zing Shot launcher.  All the toys were fun and very reasonably priced.

Check out my sons video of him using all 3 products:

Air storm Cross Bow z-x Retail Price 19.99 ages 8+kids cross bow

Air Storm z-curve Bow:  Retail Price 19.99 ages 8+kids curved bow

Zing Shot launcher”  Retail Price 9.99 ages 8+kids sling shot

This was a fun video to film because the kids were having such a great time with these safety minded toys. The ball and darts are soft.  My son and daughter love playing with them.  I would recommend these for a gift for any child.

Disclosure:  I received these products to try out from Zing Toys brand rep.  The opinions in this post are all of my own and my children.

  1. Are yours still working? Ours lasted a month before one of the rubber bands snapped. I have inquired about replacement parts and am waiting for a reply.

  2. Hi,

Did you ever get a response on replacing the elastic bands. My son has the same problem with his Z-Curve Bow.

If you should have any luck finding the replacement bands, could you please let me know.

    Merry Christmas,

    Bill

      1. Our second bow just broke it’s bands too – would love to hear what your contact has to say. I’m going to Lowes and grab some surgical tubing in the mean-time to see if I can hack together a fix 🙂 Can’t afford another one of these – even if they are awesome!

  3. Both of my son’s bows snapped yesterday. The way to replace these I am finding out is the ends have caps covering very tiny screws (Phillips type).
1 Take a small eyeglass screwdriver and pry the black caps off to expose the screws.
2 Remove the screws (NOTE: thinking about it, you may only need to remove the cap and screw from the post and not the one in the mounting side of the bow)
3 pull sleeve off the post and you will see the 1/8″ (or 4mm) latex tubing (measured as outside diameter)
4 if you pull the tubing out (by the short end that was covered but the sleeve) you will notices a hard bead inside the tube that looks like a small door knob when you remove it… Think of pinching a watermelon seed.
5 find the tubing at an apothecary shop or hobby store, and maybe silicone tubing might work and reverse the process.

    1. Thanks for the in depth repair and sharing it with my readers our has no busted the marketing person told me contact them and they will send you a repair

      1. Who do we contact for replacement parts? My sons strings broke also. It’s a great toy for kids to play with, but he just broke the strings. Email with any help on finding parts. jasoncrager93@yahoo.com. Thanks!
