great idea to help kids and parents learn how to be safe. my kids are college age, and I always remind them to be careful and not text something you would not say face to face! luckily they are good kids. I remind them to stay off the phone while driving too.

We aren’t at the point yet, where we have to decide when to get a cell phone for our children, but will be soon. I worry so much about this. I am really hoping to attend one of these chats to get prepared!

My biggest concern is probably the privacy and bullying. I think my 8 year old would not really understand what kind of trouble he could get into by having a phone. The 8 year old session is the one I would attend.

My concern is kids understanding all the dangers. texting & walking can be dangerous, Ive seen people walk right into traffic. Also inappropriate content worries me. sexting etc.

Oct. 25 at 1p ET as the biggest concern with texting is when combined with driving. 15 is a great age for the message 1 yr before getting a license.
